Esri EA Names New Managing Director
Esri Eastern Africa has announced the appointment of Judah Arap Bett as its new Managing Director. Judah assumes this role from Willy Simons. Willy has served as MD/Founder since the company’s inception in 2007. Judah comes with a wealth of experience spanning over 30 years after having served in numerous capacities in different local and multinational organizations. Most recently, he served as the Esri EA board chairman 2008-to date. Esri EA staff joined thousands of participants who had braved the Saturday morning chill to take part in the 14th edition of the Mater Heart Run held in Nairobi. The mater heart run seeks to raise awareness and funds to support children with heart conditions. Esri EA has been sponsoring a team since 2011. Before the run kicked off former child beneficiaries of the Mater Heart Run initiative, gave testimonials of how the heart surgery had positively impacted their health and quality of life.

Geo spatial solutions provider Esri Eastern Africa bagged a series of awards at the 2014 Ethical Leadership Business Conference & Awards which took place in late July. The award ceremony which was held at the Sarova Panafric Hotel in Nairobi seeks to recognize the ethical values practiced by firms and individuals. The awards are presented by the Executive Leadership Network (ELNET) which conducts ethical assessments on both private and public sectors. Ardhi University Signs up for the Esri Education Site License
Ardhi University became the 3rd university in Eastern Africa and the first in Tanzania to sign up for the Esri Education Site License on 3 February, 2014. At a colourful ceremony held at the university’s council chambers, the university’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Idrissa B. Ethiopia Onboard! Addis Ababa University signs onto Esri’s 100 Africa Universities Program.
The University of Addis Ababa became the 4th university in Eastern Africa and the 2nd in Ethiopia to adopt the Esri Education Site License by signing a MoU with Esri & Esri Eastern Africa November 2013.
