To impart knowledge on application of GIS in humanitarian assistance, and more broadly in emergency management.
At the end of the training the trainee should be able to
- Demonstrate an understanding of key applications of GIS for humanitarian assistance.
- Illustrate ways to apply the geospatial technologies to humanitarian assistance.
Who can attend
The training is open for people working for NGO’s and Government departments involved in offering Humanitarian Assistance/Emergency response.
The training is hands-on, and it will include: Presentations, discussions, software demonstrations, Exercises and lesson reviews. The training will be facilitated by Esri’s certified instructor.
