A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present all types of geographically referenced data. GIS is fundamental in creation and use of maps and charts to help reveal relationships, patterns, and trends for project indicators in a way that is quickly understood by program managers and easy to share
To impart knowledge on integrating GIS with Monitoring and Evaluation in project management, thus improving the effectiveness and communications of results to management, funding partners, and beneficiaries.

The training requires no prior GIS skills and is designed for representatives from government officials in charge of projects, project teams, NGOs, multi and bilateral development organizations, consultancies, project managers and directors, M&E specialists, technical specialists, and researchers.
The training is hands-on, and it will include: Presentations, discussions, software demonstrations, Exercises and lesson reviews.
